Leading the Way Banner

The history of the Moravian Church is full of remarkable women who led the way for thousands of people towards faith. Zinzendorf’s wife, Erdmuthe, oversaw the fiscal health of the 18th century German congregation. His second wife, Anna Nitschmann, was crucial for the founding of the Moravian Church in North America. Eva and Martha Spangenberg, each respectively worked alongside their husband throughout his ministry. Attend this event and learn how Moravian women have inspired and guided generations!

Moravian Daily Texts

12/16/2017

Saturday, December 16 — Psalm 144:1–4
Nahum 3; Habakkuk 1; Revelation 14:17–15:8

Woe to those who plan iniquity, because it is in their power to do it. Micah 2:1 (NIV)

Jesus called them and said to them, “You know that among the Gentiles those whom they recognize as their rulers lord it over them, and their great ones are tyrants over them. But it is not so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant.” Mark 10:42–43

God of humanity and humility, teach us the way of gentleness. May we be servant leaders. May we overcome iniquity by the power of your love. Amen.
