Brother Edwin A. Sawyer died in Lititz, Pennsylvania, October 5, 2017. He was 103 years old. Born July 20, 1914 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Otto and Sarah (Ziegler) Sawyer. Paul wrote: I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

God, you are our strength, our shield and our fortress. Uphold us when we are weak, and protect us. Remind us that we rely on you, not on ourselves, for you are the source of our power and our salvation. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
