Fifth Sunday in Lent

Surprise

“Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies”

S

O

W

When the

good seed falls on the

earth, the soil surrounds

the wheat seed faith. The water

softens the hard hull covering

the love inside. The sun warms

the good seed with

real hope.

God gives the growth.

Spring surprises us.

The Savior rose again.

Prayer: Creator, sustain our faith, love, and hope so we might sustain good growth in the congregations we call home. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:6–10,14–17; Mark 4:26–34

My spirit abides among you; do not fear. Haggai 2:5

Hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. Romans 5:5

God of hope, we lift up our hearts to you with thankfulness. We praise you with song all day long! Thank you for loving us. Let nothing shake our confidence in you. In every change, you are faithful. Amen.
