Synod elects directors, trustees for boards and agencies

One of the key components of the 2014 Southern Province Synod is the election of members to serve provincial boards and agencies. In the initial sessions, the following were elected to provincial service:

Delegates to Unity Synod

This year’s synod voting process takes on a new form with the use of an electronic voting system. Delegates are each given a hand-held device that allows them to quickly and easily enter their votes. This helpful use of technology allows the voting process to occur quickly and efficiently. Results are available immediately. Delegates were given “practice” votes in order to become comfortable with this exciting new method.

And a woman, having learned that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment. She stood behind him at his feet, weeping, and began to bathe his feet with her tears and to dry them with her hair. Then she continued kissing his feet and anointing them with the ointment.
