Contacting/Contributing to the Moravian Magazine

keyboardimagecontactAt the Moravian Magazine, we welcome the voices of today's Moravian Church in America.  Interested in sharing your story? Want to let the world know about your church and its work? Looking to share your insights and perspectives on issues facing the church today? Consider writing for the Moravian Magazine!

Article and Photo Submissions:

We typically look for articles of 400-800 words, although longer is always welcome.  All articles should include information about the writer, including their connection to the Moravian Church (if applicable).

Subjects of interest to the magazine include congregational or district/provincial happenings, human interest, significant milestones, theological/pastoral reflections, ministry successes, church issues, Moravian history and mission stories.

We use The Associated Press Stylebook for editing the Moravian. Clear, concise, interesting and insightful writing is appreciated.

And since pictures really can help tell a story, we request that all article submissions include photos.  Most modern digital cameras provide a high-enough resolution image for our use (at least 1600 pixels on the shorter side of the image). Cell phone pictures and images from Facebook tend to be too low-resolution for print.  Please use care and creativity when taking photos. Clear, in-focus, well-composed photos from interesting angles and of meaningful subjects make for the best submissions.  Please include descriptive captions and photo credit, too.

Articles and photos should be sent via email to:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Friday, May 24 – Psalm 68:19-27
Proverbs 17; 2 Corinthians 1:12-22

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. Psalm 115:1

Jesus said, “When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name.” Luke 11:2

O High and Holy One, we owe you love, adoration, and worship for your steadfast love and faithfulness. With Jesus’ help we will honor your name in every act, thought, and deed. Amen.
