As Communications Project Manager, Andrew helps implement the voice of the Board of Cooperative Ministries (BCM) as it appears online and in print. He supports the Executive Director in the execution of social media and marketing strategies. Additionally, Andrew assists in BCM event coordination and documentation. Some of his other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Composition and scheduling of weekly e-newsletter
  • Design of quarterly print newsletter, including writing and editing articles
  • Management and daily or regular upkeep of social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • Design and scheduling of graphical Moravian Daily Text posts for social media
  • Logo, bulletin insert, infographic, brochure, and miscellaneous designs as needed
  • Posting, creating, and curating additional content for BCM blog and social media sites
  • Providing technology, social media, and design support or consultation for congregations or individuals as needed

North Carolina born and raised, Andrew hails from the unincorporated Pfafftown. His passion as a creative, as an artist, is tied closely to my identity as a Moravian. He started drawing caricatures as a middle high camper at Laurel Ridge. Andrew began taking freelance illustration seriously in college with the illustration of Simply Moravian, a resource published by the Board of Cooperative Ministries. Now as a professional, his freelance work is often for other Moravians, whether caricatures or illustration. Andrew graduated from Appalachian State University in May of 2014 with a BFA in Studio Art.

Saturday, January 20 — Psalm 15
Genesis 23:1–24:25; Matthew 8:23–34

God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. Genesis 1:3

God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV)

Illuminate our minds, Lord Jesus, to recognize the needs of those around us. Open our hearts to share the burdens of our sisters and brothers as we hold one another in the light. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
