Moravian Music Festival: Lovefeast & Song Service celebrates full communion

When In Our Music God Is Glorified
A Lovefeast and Song Service Of Christian Unity

Celebrating the Full Communion Partnership Between the Episcopal, Evangelical Lutheran, and Moravian Churches of America

7:30 p.m. • Sunday, July 14, 2013
(brass prelude will begin at 7:00 p.m.)

Central Moravian Church, Main & Church Streets • Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

To herald the start of the 24th Moravian Music Festival, join us for a lovefeast and song service celebrating our unity in Christ and the musical traditions of the Episcopal, Evangelical Lutheran, and Moravian Churches in America.

An ecumenical choir and clergy will lead this unique service of song, with favorite hymns from each of our faith traditions. This special service is the first to be celebrated by all three full communion partners.

The lovefeast, a Moravian tradition that dates back nearly 300 years, is a simple fellowship meal (typically coffee and a bun) shared within a song service to celebrate special occasions.

Join us for this historic evening of beautiful music and Christian unity. This event is free and open to the public.

Saturday, January 20 — Psalm 15
Genesis 23:1–24:25; Matthew 8:23–34

God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. Genesis 1:3

God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV)

Illuminate our minds, Lord Jesus, to recognize the needs of those around us. Open our hearts to share the burdens of our sisters and brothers as we hold one another in the light. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
