You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Deuteronomy 5:21 (NIV)

Jesus said, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” Luke 12:15

Forgive us, Lord Jesus, when we fail to remember that the craving of material goods leads to spiritual poverty. May our energies be directed into investing in the treasures of your spirit. Amen.
