On August 13 (a special day in the history of the Moravian Church), The Moravian Ministries Foundation in America (MMFA) awarded of more than $200,000 in grants to 23 churches and ministries.
Among the recipients for this year’s grants included ministries working to address hunger, housing/shelter, health, clothing, prison ministry, environmental stewardship and racial awareness, equity and reconciliation. Grants ranged from $1,000 to $30,000.
Much of the funding for these grants came from donations made during the 2022 Moravian Day of Giving on March 1. MMFA’s Field of Interest funds also helped support these grants.
