For Advent 2025, the Rev. Brian Dixon (Emmaus Moravian Church, Emmaus, Pa.) and David Melby-Gibbons (Tricklebee Cafe, Milwaukee Wisconsin) have teamed up to offer something a little different for the weekly Moravian Church bulletin-back messages.
For each week of Advent, David and Brian took an inspirational look at the Bible passage for the week through the lens of song. Working together like cooks in a kitchen, David and Brian brought text and tune and poetry and play to life, creating four new songs that bring the weekly message to the table in a whole new way.

On this page, you can find the messages themselves and song sheets for each including guitar chords. In addition, David has created two videos for each song: one of the piece itself, and a second that teaches guitarists how to play the song. We encourage churches to use these materials in worship during advent and also offer them to their members for further Advent inspiration after the service.
In addition, a collaboration between the Board of World Mission, Moravian Ministries Foundation in America, Southern Province Commission on Congregational Development and the Interprovincial Board of Communication brings new Advent Candle Lighting Liturgies for 2025. These liturgies provide a short liturgical guide through the themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love, connecting these Advent themes with the real-life ministries of Moravian congregations and organizations.
