The Rev. Dr. Daniel Crews, Archivist, Moravian Church Southern Province shares some basics on Hus’s life. He tells the Hus story – perhaps with never-before-heard details — and why it matters.

C. Daniel Crews is the retired Archivist of the Moravian Church, Southern Province. He holds a BA degree from High Point College; MA and Ph.D. in English from UNC-Greensboro; and Ph.D. in historical theology from the University of Manchester, England. He did post-doctoral study at the University of Prague.

After joining the Archives in 1991, he published numerous booklets on various Moravian historical and theological topics. For the 550th anniversary of the Moravian Church, he wrote Faith, Love, Hope: A History of the Early Moravian Church. He translated and edited several volumes of Records of the Moravians among the Cherokees with archivist Richard Starbuck. They also co-authored With Courage for the Future: The Story of the Moravian Church, Southern Province.
