Friday, January 24 — Psalm 17:1–7
1 Chronicles 24; Acts 16:4–15

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. Jonah 2:8 NIV

Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3

Messiah, may our eyes be set on you, so that the idols of our times—all the distractions the world—do not remove us from your presence. Guide us back to you; remind us that these are merely idols and do not stand the test of time. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
