“God has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” -Micah 6:8
“Justice will become a light to the nations.” -Isaiah 51:5b
Building on the energy and guidance of Provincial Synod, the Moravian Advocacy and Justice Action Team invites you to “Bridges to Community: Listening to, Serving, and Loving Our Neighbors,” an opportunity for us to create space for individuals and congregations to gather and explore the opportunities to care for and serve in our communities. All are welcome to participate in this discovery process and sharing in order to respond faithfully in our walk with God.
We would love to know what areas of focus most interest you. You can share them here.
This event will include large and small group discussions and feature tables from some agencies in the Province who are caring for their neighbors in different ways.
Our goals are:
- To celebrate the good mission & ministry happening among our neighbors
- To congregate friend-travelers engaging in similar work to continue to build a more robust network of engagement in mission
- To provide a space for people to explore their call to mission, advocacy, & justice
Everyone in the MCSP is invited to join us. We hope to have a team of people from each congregation and ministry attend to help us celebrate how each congregation and ministry serving in our local communities. If you have photos (printed out and able to be left at the event) to bring and share, or other small objects to help tell the story of what your congregation or ministry is doing in the community, we invite you to bring those along for some “Show and Tell”!
The event begins at 9am with coffee and snacks while you visit ministry tables followed by worship at 9:45am. The event includes lunch and will conclude by 3pm.
