Video Submission Guide

Thank you for expressing interest in submitting video content to the CCD! Below is a list of steps to create and submit videos to us properly.

Recommended equipment

  • Modern smartphone

  • HD Camcorder

  • HD DSLR camera with video features

Recommended video formats

  • Please have your videos in 1080p HD resolution in 16×9 widescreen format

  • Recommended file formats are MP4 or MOV. Other video formats may cause issues.

Recommended lighting & environment

  • Please situate yourself in a place with plenty of natural or indoor lighting so that you can be seen clearly

  • If you are filming indoors, please do so in a private, quiet room to minimize distractions, others’ talking, tv noise, etc.

  • If you are filming outdoors, please be mindful of wind, weather, traffic/construction noise, etc.

While recording

  • Please speak clearly and at a regular volume, as if you’re speaking to someone in the same room as you

  • Be sure that the video frame does not cut off parts of your head or mouth

  • Be mindful of others potentially walking into the frame and situate your shot accordingly

  • Please keep any sensitive personal information out of the shot (street address, important documents, open rooms like restrooms or closets)

Submission

  • Please upload your video to Google Drive or Dropbox.com (both require accounts but are free). If your video is too long or too large to upload, please contact the CCD ([email protected])

  • Please e-mail the CCD ([email protected]) with the full spelling of your name including desired titles (“Reverend,” “Doctor,” “Bishop,” etc.), role (“Director of Congregational Development,” “Associate Pastor,” etc.), or affiliated organizations (“Moravian Theological Seminary,” “Sunnyside Ministry,” etc.) if so desired.
