Monday, May 16 — Psalm 65:9-13
Numbers 6; Mark 11:1–11

When Job’s three friends heard of all these troubles that had come upon him, they sat with him on the ground for seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great. Job 2:11,13

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Greatest Lord, thank you for our friends who are here on the earth to lessen our burdens and increase our joy. May we be friends to others when they need a shoulder to cry on or a smile of celebration. Amen.
