Those who passed by derided him, shaking their heads and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” Matthew 27:39–40
God of the cross, you are with us in every moment of our lives. As we journey though seasons of grief, we believe that you are weeping with us. We cling to the promise of new life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
