Friday, August 2, 2024 — Psalm 92:1–8
Joshua 10:28–11:23; Luke 13:18–30
God, you have caused the land to quake; you have torn it open; repair the cracks in it, for it is tottering. Psalm 60:2
And the disciples awoke Jesus and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” Then he arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:38-39 NKJV
God of peace, the quakes and storms of life can leave us frightened and alone. Help us turn to your calming assurance as we open to the stillness of your peace. We are profoundly grateful for your welcome and love. Amen.
