Friday, August 25 — Psalm 103:6–18
Jeremiah 23:1–32; 1 Timothy 5:9–16
I said, “I have toiled in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with the Lord, and my reward with my God.” Isaiah 49:4 NASB1995
Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. James 5:7
Teach us, Holy Spirit, to leave final outcomes to you. We see dimly and only what is now. What is to be is in your care. Give us wisdom to act when we should and patience to wait for your guidance. Amen.
