Friday, December 15 — Psalm 143:7–12
Nahum 1,2; Revelation 14:6–16

Some went down to the sea in ships, and saw the deeds of the Lord, his wondrous works in the deep. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind. Psalm 107:23,24,31

After we had reached safety, we then learned that the island was called Malta. The natives showed us unusual kindness. They kindled a fire and welcomed all of us around it. Acts 28:1-2

Welcoming Creator, we thank you for your hospitality and provisions for all of us. In our daily work, may we be kind to others, and so become ambassadors of your royal law. Amen.
