Friday, January 17 — Psalm 12
Genesis 19:30–20:18; Matthew 7:13–23

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh, and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Let my people go, so that they may worship me.’” Exodus 10:3

See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Matthew 10:16

Lord, as your people—created, redeemed, and sustained—we seek to worship you in all we do, aware that true discipleship is no easy task. Give us simplicity of faith, courage to love, and the willingness to hope in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
