Good Friday
Watchword for Good Friday — For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. John 3:16
Friday, March 30 — Psalm 41
Exodus 35; Matthew 27:1–10
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind. Exodus 14:21
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39
Gracious Savior, we remember on this most solemn day, the sacrifice you made for us at Calvary. Through your death, you opened wide the portal of God’s grace for the cosmos, and defeated death. Words are not enough to say, “Thank You!” Amen.
