The day of the Lord of hosts shall come upon everything proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up—and it shall be brought low. Isaiah 2:12 NKJV
All of you must clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
God, we are often proud for the wrong reasons. Quiet our pride so that we may be more compassionate as we move through this world. In your gracious name, we pray. Amen.
