Friday, September 12 — Psalm 106:32–39
Jeremiah 45,46; Hebrews 1:10–2:8a
Do not be afraid of sudden terror, for the Lord will be your confidence. Proverbs 3:25,26 NKJV
When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:26-27
God, when you appear, it can be frightening, confusing, or overwhelming. But then, you comfort us and tell us, “Do not be afraid.” We pray that it is that simple. Amen.
