Monday, February 13 — Psalm 22:29–31
2 Chronicles 18; Acts 21:17–30

Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Psalm 51:11

The tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!” Luke 18:13

Merciful God, we recognize that we are the objects of your love, not by our own doing, but by your unmerited grace. Renew us by your Spirit and hold us in your loving embrace. Draw us ever nearer to yourself that our lives might overflow with joy and gratitude for your tender mercies. Amen.
