Monday, March 9 — Psalm 34:8–18
Ezra 8:21–10:6; Romans 1:26–2:4

The war horse is a vain hope for victory, and by its great might it cannot save. Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love. Psalm 33:17–18

We boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3

Blessed Shepherd, our hope rests in you. Loving Savior, defend us from temptations today and keep our eyes and hearts focused on the unending grace and love that you supply to us, your erring servants. Amen.
