Monday, October 11 — Psalm 118:10–14
Ezekiel 17:11–18:18; Hebrews 13:20–James 1:8

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Luke 21:33

Dear Law-Writer, you’ve clearly decided things here. You’re going to be our God and we’re going to be your people; sounds like our baptism liturgy. Today, help us ponder if there are any people that aren’t yours and see what that does to our opinions of others. Amen.
