O Lord, help us to shun all wrong and to seek an ever-closer walk with you, so that we might live as you intended. May we be a blessing to others, and may they catch a glimpse of you in us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
† On September 16, 1741, at a Moravian synod in London, Jesus was recognized as Chief Elder, or head, of the Moravian Church. Moravian clergy now observe this by renewing their response to the call of Christ, and the denomination celebrates the festival day of November 13, when the synod action was announced to congregations around the world.
