Monday, September 21 — Psalm 108:6–13
1 Samuel 13; John 1:43–51

I am shut in so that I cannot escape; my eye grows dim through sorrow. Every day I call on you, O Lord. Psalm 88:8-9

Jesus prayed, “I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.” John 17:15

There are times, Jesus, when we feel challenged, overwhelmed, defeated. Cover us with your blanket of protection, reminding us that you are greater than all of life’s joys and sorrows. Amen.
