Saturday, July 13 — Psalm 84:8–12
Isaiah 33:17–35:10; Ephesians 6:1–9

Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on? Habakkuk 2:6 NIV

Jesus said, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” Luke 12:15

O Lord, we confess and ask forgiveness for our greed. Too often we treasure material possessions more than your word. Help us focus on your word and the life everlasting promised us. In your ever-faithful name. Amen.
