Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me. Jeremiah 2:19 NIV
When the younger son had spent everything, a severe famine took place throughout that region, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that region, who sent him to his fields to feed the pigs. Luke 15:14-15
O waiting God, it is so easy to turn our backs on you, to fall off the right paths, to be seduced into thinking we have all the answers. Relying on your abundant grace, we confess these moments and return to your side to fix our eyes on you. Through the Christ, we pray. Amen.
