Numbers 32:28–42; Luke 2:33–40
Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love. Hosea 10:12 NIV
The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, ‘Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘You fool!’ Luke 12:16-17,19-20
O Fount of every blessing, we seek to be faithful stewards of the resources that are ours: spending wisely and saving for the future. Guide us in balancing our own needs and wants in scale with the needs of others. May we sow seeds of righteousness that your will for justice and wholeness for all your children may, in part, be realized through our efforts and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
