Numbers 26:57–27:23; Luke 1:39–45
If my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will take me up. Psalm 27:10
Paul wrote: Though my condition put you to the test, you did not scorn or despise me but welcomed me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus. Galatians 4:14
O loving, heavenly Parent, because of your love for us, none of us is left motherless or fatherless. We are your children. Because of your love for all your children, none of us lives without brothers and sisters. Open our eyes and hearts to see and feel others to truly be worthy of our love, care, and forbearance, as if they were beloved siblings. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
