I am merciful, says the Lord; I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt, that you have rebelled against the Lord your God. Jeremiah 3:12-13
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:12
Merciful Lord, you are our shining example of forgiveness. Despite our unpaid debts, deeds left undone, and flaws we wish we could fix, you have given us your son, Jesus, who upon the cross, wiped our slate clean. Knowing this, how can we not forgive others? Amen.
