Saturday, October 17 — Psalm 119:25–32
Ezekiel 22:23–23:27; James 3:1–12

No one shall be found among you who practices divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer. Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10,12

Claiming to be wise, they became fools; and they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images. Romans 1:22–23

Jesus, we have placed value on the things of this world instead of on our spiritual gifts. Only by your grace and contact shall we be free of the shackles this life puts on us. Hold us close to your heart, Lord. We are yours. Amen.
