Saturday, September 25 — Psalm 109:21–31
Lamentations 3:16–66; Hebrews 9:1–10

Do not go after other gods to serve and worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands. Jeremiah 25:6

The God who made the world and everything in it, he who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by human hands, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mortals life and breath and all things. Acts 17:24-25

God of all creation, you are all we ever need. May we never make idols of our time, talent, and treasure, but rather, be good stewards, using all that you have given us to bring glory to your name. Amen.
