Saturday, September 5 — Psalm 105:37–45
Judges 20:1–31; Luke 22:52–62

You have been a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm. Isaiah 25:4 NIV

These are the words of the first and the last, who was dead and came to life, “I know your affliction and your poverty.” Revelation 2:8-9

Compassionate Lord, you know each of us and the burden that each individual bears. Through the peace of Jesus, lighten our load. Amen.
