Third Sunday of Easter

Watchword for the week — You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23

Sunday, April 23 — Acts 2:14a,36-41; Psalm 116:1-4,12-19
1 Peter 1:17-23; Luke 24:13-35

“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” says the Lord. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” Jeremiah 23:24

Before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account. Hebrews 4:13

Full of pride, we avoid you. Fearing your demands, we evade you. Full of shame, we slip into shadows. And yet, searching God, we cannot hide from you. You never lose sight of us. In every time and place, you still seek to direct, support, console, and protect us. Amen.
