Second Sunday of Easter

Watchword for the week — Jesus said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” John 20:21

Sunday, April 27 — Acts 5:27-32; Psalm 150
Revelation 1:4-8; John 20:19-31

I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my supplications. Psalm 116:1

Jesus tells a parable, “The slave fell on his knees before him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’ And out of pity for him, the lord of that slave released him and forgave him the debt.” Matthew 18:26-27

God, our strong salvation, though we are undeserving, you defend and deliver us. You seek us in the darkness and trouble we find. You heard our cries for mercy and gave your own son so that we may live. How great is our debt to you, O Lord. Amen.
