Fifth Sunday in Lent

Watchword for the week — Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13,14

Sunday, April 6 — Isaiah 43:16-21; Psalm 126
Philippians 3:4b-14; John 12:1-8

Bring the homeless poor into your house. Isaiah 58:7

And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40

Our Chief Elder, govern our lives with love and open our hearts to the poor, the broken-hearted, and the lost. Lead us in the way of life and peace. Create in us a spirit of boldness and lead us into your way of willing sacrifice for others. Amen.
