Watchword for the week — Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:2

Hebrews 11:29-12:2; Luke 12:49-56
Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust. Psalm 113:5-7
Jesus Christ, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. Philippians 2:6-7
Most holy Lord and God, we are in awe of you! In worship today, we contemplate the mystery of your love, which was given to us in your beloved son. May we follow his example in giving ourselves in loving service to others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
