Fourth Sunday after Pentecost

Watchword for the week — It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 92:1

Sunday, June 16, 2024 — Ezekiel 17:22-24; Psalm 92:1-4,12-15
2 Corinthians 5:6-10,14-17; Mark 4:26-34

All look to you to give them their food in due season; when you give to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things. Psalm 104:27-28

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

O Bread from heaven, when we measure the blessings of our lives, our minds too often drift to the tangible things we can see and touch. Beyond shelter, food, physical possessions, and loved ones, may we ever be mindful of the intangible things that come only from you. You are the source of forgiveness, love, comfort of spirit, and the promise of eternal life. Feed us as only you can. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
