Third Sunday after Pentecost
Watchword for the week — If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
Sunday, June 30 — 1 Kings 19:15-16,19-21; Psalm 16
Galatians 5:1,13-25; Luke 9:51-62
You shall worship the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. Exodus 23:25
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Matthew 6:31,32
Lord, we often become so overwhelmed with the basic needs of our lives that we forget that you are aware and will continue to supply all that we need to live. We get so discouraged and discontented because of the prosperity preached by the world that we forget that, in you, we live and move and have our being. Today, and each day, we will rejoice in thanksgiving for your sustenance, provisions, and promises, always. Amen.
