Does God not see my ways and number all my steps? Job 31:4
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. Luke 12:6
God of the sparrow, in a universe of innumerable galaxies, and on a planet with billions of people, it is so easy for us to think of ourselves as being insignificant individuals. Guide us into Jesus’ truth, that just as God values each individual sparrow, how much more does God value each of us, crafted in God’s image and filled with the spirit. Help each of us to feel the truth: “I am loved by the Master of the Universe.” Amen.
