Second Sunday in Lent
Watchword for the week — For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. John 3:16
Sunday, March 5 — Genesis 12:1-4a; Psalm 121
Romans 4:1-5,13-17; John 3:1-17
The Lord spoke and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. Psalm 33:9
The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed.” Matthew 8:8
“Make me a captive, Lord, and then I shall be free.” What a seeming contradiction! What a promise! We are at our best, not when we are alone, but when we are connected both to you and to one another. Lord, capture us. Amen.
