Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost

Watchword for the week — Jesus says, “All who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted.” Luke 18:14

Sunday, October 27 — Jeremiah 14:7-10,19-22; Psalm 84:1-7
2 Timothy 4:6-8,16-18; Luke 18:9-14

The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts. 1 Samuel 2:7

We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:10 NIV

Jesus, as your church, we are your body—together with people from every language and nation, rich and poor, educated and unable to read. May our life as your church lead people to say, “Yes! I want to know this Jesus.” Amen.
