Thursday, August 28 — Psalm 104:10–18
Jeremiah 28:1–29:14; 2 Timothy 1:8–18

You shall be a beautiful crown in the hand of the Lord and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Isaiah 62:3

Jesus said, “When you are invited, go and sit down at the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher’; then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.” Luke 14:10

God, teach us humility. May we see ourselves as we truly are and others as they can become. Guide us to serve with compassion and grace. Amen.
