Thursday, December 11 — Psalm 141:1-4
2 Kings 9; Acts 2:29-47

The Lord spoke to Moses and said, “I have heard the complaining of the Israelites; say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall have your fill of bread; then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.'” Exodus 16:11-12

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for the crowd, because they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.” Matthew 15:32

We hunger for you, O God, and we are tempted to fill ourselves with things that draw us away from you. Feed us with the bread of life so that we may be filled and draw closer to you. Amen.
