Thursday, January 29 — Psalm 18:16–24
1 Chronicles 27; Acts 17:4–15

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 (NIV)

Heavenly Shepherd, we give you thanks for protecting us every day. Forgive us for not bringing our cares, temptations, and fears to you more often. In our times of trial, let us focus our faith on you. Amen.
