Thursday, January 9 — Psalm 7:10–17

Remember the long way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart. Deuteronomy 8:2
And the Spirit immediately drove Jesus out into the wilderness. He was in the wilderness forty days, tested by Satan, and he was with the wild beasts, and the angels waited on him. Mark 1:12-13
O holy One, the wilderness has much to teach us about ourselves and your kindness. We may not like seasons of wilderness, but we pray that you use these seasons to teach us. Help us grow in strength, humility, and faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
