Thursday, June 28 — Psalm 79:9–13
Deuteronomy 5:22–6:25; Luke 5:27–39
Let the unrighteous forsake their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them. Isaiah 55:7
Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much.” Then Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house.” Luke 19:8–9
Merciful God, forgive us our evil thoughts and ways. May we turn to you. Heal our divisions. Renew our love for you and others. Take away all our fear. In you we are blessed, and old bitterness flies away. Amen.
